As part of the European Higher Education Week (EHEW), Erasmus+ Day is organised by the EU Delegation to Viet Nam (EUD) and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). EHEW 2024 is the first initiative implemented under the EU Strategic Communication and Public Diplomacy in Viet Nam to promote EU as a partner for Sustainable Development on skills development. Erasmus+ Day
welcomes over 40 higher education institutions (HEIs) from EU member states to Viet Nam for the first time, as well as more than 100 Vietnamese HEIs interested in Erasmus+, the EU’s flagship
programme in education, training, youth and sport.
The objectives of Erasmus+ Day include:
● To promote the EU – Viet Nam cooperation in higher education, especially the Erasmus+ programme.
● To create a network platform to establish new partnerships for both Vietnamese and European HEIs.
● To encourage new proposals for the Erasmus+ programme new cycle 2021-2027.
Phenikaa University, VGU and HUMG participated in Erasmus+ day during European Education Week 2024 on October 22-23, 2024 held in Hanoi
This event served as an important platform for disseminating information about the successes of recent projects belonging to the three key actions under Erasmus+ funding, particularly those focusing on climate change adaptation through geospatial digital technologies.
During the conference, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dinh (Phenikaa University) represented the CADEO project consortium to delivere an insightful presentation on its objectives, achieved results and progress; showcasing in the Best Practices in Designing and Implementing EU’s Joint Projects in Viet
Nam.
He highlighted the CADEO project’s curriculum, which integrates digital tools and techniques for effective monitoring and management of climate-related risks. The project has garnered attention for its focus on training future leaders in climate adaptation strategies, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to tackle environmental issues in Vietnam and beyond.
As the conference concluded, VGU expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a significant event and reaffirmed its commitment to the CADEO project. The university looks forward to continuing its efforts in disseminating knowledge and fostering international cooperation in the fields of climate change and geospatial technologies.
