The CADEO Project (Climate Change Adaptation using Digital Geospatial Twins and Earth Observation) Final Meeting officially opened today, 25 November 2025, at Politecnico di Milano, marking the first day of a four-day workshop that will bring together project partners from Europe and Vietnam to review achievements, exchange experiences, and discuss future cooperation in climate adaptation, geospatial intelligence, and digital geospatial twins.

The opening session, held on 25 November 2025 at Sala Donatori, welcomed project partners for registration and an internal working meeting. The afternoon focused on assessing the overall outcomes of the CADEO project, reflecting on the lessons learned, and discussing the future outlook for continued cooperation among universities and research institutions within the partnership.

Participants highlighted the project’s significant contributions to advancing capacity in remote sensing, geospatial technology, and climate adaptation, with strong engagement from Vietnam and European partners. The meeting also served as a platform to identify new opportunities for joint academic programs, training initiatives, and research proposals in climate resilience and disaster risk management.

As the workshop continues over the next three days, partners will explore:

  • – Future sustainability of CADEO courses
  • – Joint research directions
  • – Proposed scientific publications
  • – New project ideas addressing flood risk, environmental monitoring, drought assessment, urban form analysis, and TOD evaluation in major Vietnamese cities

The CADEO final meeting in Milan marks an important milestone, celebrating the achievements of the consortium while laying the foundation for sustained international collaboration in the years ahead.
