Emanuela Zonca was born in Monza (Milan) in 1977. She graduated in Foreign Languages at Bergamo University in 2001 with a dissertation on electronic books and American contemporary literature. In 2002 she started working in the administrative staff at Bergamo University, taking care of all the administrative aspects of a research center on Anthropology of Complexity, which core mission was a Ph. D. course. She has been working for Bergamo University until 2008, also as personal secretary of the Faculty Dean. In 2008 she moved to Politecnico di Milano – Department of Structural Engineering, being in charge of the Purchase Office of the Department. In 2013 the Department of Structural Engineering was reorganized into the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where she has been acting as Head of the Research Support Unit since July 2015. In 2019 she obtained a Master in Management of Research, Innovation and Technology at the Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business.
