Vietnamese Partners Discuss Implementation of Professional Training Courses under CADEO
On December 12, 2024, Vietnamese partners of the CADEO project held an online meeting to finalize the implementation plan for professional training courses in GIS and remote sensing. Representatives from VidaGIS, Phenikaa University (PU), Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), Hue University (HU), and Vietnamese-German University (VGU) agreed on key strategies for adapting master’s course materials into shorter, practical modules for professionals in both public and private sectors.
The courses will be hosted on VidaGIS’s Moodle platform, with training materials translated into Vietnamese and supplemented with multiple-choice assessments. The training will be delivered online, lasting up to six days, with at least 40 participants per session. The next steps include finalizing materials, translations, and course structuring, with implementation set for 2025.
The meeting reaffirmed a commitment to providing free, high-quality training for professionals, aligning with the CADEO project’s goal of enhancing GIS and remote sensing applications in various industries.
